The director of the previous two films, Paul King, chose not to direct this installment
Plot
Paddington returns to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now lives at the home for retired bears. With the Brown family in tow, a thrilling adventure begins when a mystery sends them on an unexpected journey.
Followed by Paddington (2014)
However, he came up with the idea for this third film and was involved as an executive producer. Paddington in Peru is a great, entertaining film, but the weakest of the three Paddington films.
I enjoyed watching it nevertheless
It looks great on the big screen, the landscapes and locations are beautiful, and the CGI of the bears looks great. The acting and storyline are fine, nothing groundbreaking or better than the previous two films, but the charm of those two is missing from this third.
It had some funny moments and is an entertaining family film
It is a bit silly at times, but that would have worked if the charm was there. Overall, it is still a great film that is worth seeing in the cinema.
