Steve Martin actually plays the concertina in several scenes
Plot
Three strangers – who live in the same New York City apartment building and share an obsession with true crime – suddenly find themselves embroiled in a murder. He is actually a very accomplished and talented musician. The viewer learned from the elevator scene in the first episode that CHS lived above Oliver, who in turn lived above Mabel.

BUT in the opening scene, CHS is in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – in reverse order and way below CHS’ actual apartment floor within the series. I just finished watching Only Murders in the Building and I have to say I liked it more than I thought I would. I originally had no intention of watching it because it looked like a show for people over 60.
I was wrong
After seeing all the great reviews and award nominations for both seasons, I finally gave in and watched it. It’s a fun whodun-it series. It’s about three strangers who all love true crime podcasts and then suddenly create one of their own based on a murder in their own building.
The series has something for everyone
These three (Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short) start piecing together the clues to find the killer. If you’re looking for a series that’s just fun and keeps you entertained, then give this one a try. It’s just a fun series to binge watch over a few days.
