Plot
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes a spy in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Remake of Μυστικός πράκτορας (2020).
Before you know it, you find yourself so invested that you just have to know who did it!
Let’s be honest, I admit that at first I wasn’t sure if the show was something I would be remotely interested in, but somehow it managed to draw me in. All of the characters are extremely easy to love and so relatable to a person in their life.
My favorite line from the series is “Every great thing in your life, looking back, seems like a miracle” Very poetic because it resonates within all of us
It’s also a gentle reminder that we’re all here trying to do the same thing, live and enjoy life, so we should try our best to get along and most of all, be kind to each other. I also admit it was a little strange to see Ted Danson in this role, especially when you are used to him as the Cheers character “Sam”; but soon “Charles” touches your heart without leaving any sad memories of “Sam”.
A bittersweet but tender reminder that Father Time does not play favorites
I hope you watch it and recognize and empathize with the daily challenges that some people in our society, in our lives, face on a daily basis. It is a nice change of pace, leaving no guilt for enjoying yet another “cop” show.
